‘Perfect by Cecelia Ahern’ (C)Aishwary Mehta

Why I Clicked this Photo – The photograph includes some of the items from the story itself which had major significance in it. The Snow Globe, Celestine’s personal Diary and the Camera whose main focus was Celestine North.

Genre – Young Adult, Dystopian.

Quote from the book I Liked – “(Maybe the strongest fighters are the nurturers because they’re connected to something deep in their core, they’ve got something to fight for, they’ve got something worth saving.” (Para 3, Page 13)

Stars – 4/5

About the Author – Cecelia Ahern was born and grew up in Dublin. She is now published in nearly fifty countries and has sold over twenty-five million copies of her novels worldwide. Two of her books have been adapted as films and she has created several TV series.

Synopsis – Celestine North lives in a society that demands perfection. After she was branded Flawed by a morality court, Celestine’s life has completely fractured–all her freedoms gone.

Since Judge Crevan has declared her the number one threat to the public, she has been a ghost, on the run with Carrick–the only person she can trust.

But Celestine has a secret–one that could bring the entire Flawed system crumbling to the ground. A secret that has already caused countless people to go missing.

Judge Crevan is gaining the upper hand, and time is running out for Celestine. With tensions building, Celestine must make a choice: save just herself or to risk her life to save all Flawed people.

And, most important of all, can she prove that to be human in itself is to be Flawed?

About The Book – Finally got hands-on with the second part of Flawed Series of Young Adult, a Dystopian novel by Cecelia Ahern. The story is fast-paced, not alike its previous part where the storyline moved with Snail’s pace. The story revisits the previous plot from part 1 – ‘Flawed’ to revise the story for the first few chapters along with the current situation of Celestin and the Flawed community. In the second part, our Protagonist finds several ways to bring the Guild down and first selfishly and later for the whole community of Flawed, prepare plans to Succeed. By getting hundreds of near-death situation she finally pulls it off with the help of all, Flawed, F.A.B and Citizens.

The story is much better and much indulging than the previous part which made me repulsive towards reading the second part – ‘Perfect’. But here I am completed the Perfect and really like the whole Story. Although at 1 instance I felt like entering inside this damn book and slap that Celestine girl hard but alas its what the stories are all about, hating the character and after a few pages loving the same one.

Verdict – Go for this, the first part (Flawed) will make you feel okayish and lethargic but the second part will not let you keep this book down until the last page. Totally a page-turner.
